Meet the Doula
My name is Shenika Brown, and I am a certified birth doula and the founder of Comforting Mothers, LLC Doula Services. I’m also a proud mother of two, I bring both professional expertise and personal insight into the care I provide.
With over a decade in the healthcare field — including more than 10 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant in labor and delivery — I’ve had the honor of supporting individuals and families from all walks of life through the transformative journey of birth.
My vision is to create a supportive community for all birthing individuals by using care and compassion to respect, empower, and celebrate each unique path to parenthood. This vision guides every aspect of my work and fuels my commitment to providing inclusive, personalized, and affirming support.
At Comforting Mothers, I offer comprehensive doula care — from prenatal education and emotional preparation to continuous labor support and postpartum follow-up. Whether you're planning your first birth or expanding your family, I’ll be there to listen, advocate, and walk with you through every stage of your journey.

This package is created to ensure you never feel alone during your transition into parenthood. From our first prenatal meeting to the days after birth, my role is to provide comfort, encouragement, and guidance so you feel informed, respected, and celebrated.

What’s Included:
- 3-Prenatal Visits – To prepare for labor, birth preferences, explore comfort measures, and build confidence for the big day. (60-90 mins)
- Labor & Birth Support – Continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during your labor and delivery, ensuring you and your partner feel empowered and cared for every step of the way.
- 2 Postpartum Visits For breastfeeding and recovery support, and to ensure a smooth transition into parenthood.
Flexible Payment Plans – Because Support Should Be Accessible
At Comforting Mothers Doula Service, LLC, I believe every family deserves compassionate care without financial stress. To make doula support more accessible, I offer a simple and affordable four-payment plan for my $1,000 Birth Doula Support Package
Payment Breakdown:
- $250 Non-Refundable Deposit
Due at booking to secure your due-date window.
- $250 – First Payment
Due at the beginning of your first prenatal meeting.
- $250 – Second Payment
Due at the beginning of your second prenatal meeting.
- $250 – Final Payment
Due at the beginning of your third prenatal meeting (or final prenatal session)
Important Note
To ensure full availability and continuous support throughout pregnancy and birth all payments must be completed before estimated due date.
